Discovered in Congo (Zaire), Africa, in the mid 1990's, this gorgeous pink drusy has rapidly ascended into the high karat gold jewelry of the top designers nationwide. it is said that these stones symbolize love and caring and are good for broken hearts and self discovery.

Since pink is one of the rarest colors in the gem world, cobalto calcite is a great opportunity for design. Cobalto calcite is increasingly scarce as a result of social strife within Congo's borders, and is no longer actively mined.
